As the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation has continued to evolve around the world, PIA continues assessing the risk and impact on its community. As we monitor the situation on a daily basis through the guidance from the public health and regulatory authorities, PIA will continue to update its staff and student accordingly.
We are focused on the health and safety of our students and staff.
The campus has moved to remote delivery and all staff are working from home, but remain available via email. Our phone lines remain open to attend to any enquiries.

At a time when the WHO (World Health Organisation) has pronounced COVID-19 (“coronavirus") a pandemic, Polytechnic Institute Australia continues to prioritise the health and safety of its students, staff and their families. The business remains vigilant following the advice of the Australian Department of Health. Operations have moved to an online campus and Polytechnic Institute Australia continues to monitor the advice of the Australian Department of Health.
To date, no incidence of COVID-19 has been reported at the Polytechnic Institute Australia campus. That said, appropriate measures and existing protocols are in place and continue to develop to mitigate unnecessary risk.
Polytechnic Institute Australia is committed to educating staff and students on important prevention measures, including through the deployment of posters and frequent digital communications.
We wish to provide you with an overview of the actions we are taking following the decision of the National Cabinet and the State Government to implement Stage 2 of a shutdown of non-essential activity.
The Federal and State governments have made it very clear that they expect the community to reduce the level of face-to-face interactions as much as possible to limit the spread of COVID-19. We must take it upon ourselves to do what we can to contribute to this.
We are transitioning to an ‘online campus’ model to enable us to continue to deliver a high-quality education for our students for the remainder of this Semester.
If you need to contact people, please use their email address. PIA is and continues to be operational in an alternative capacity.
